My Review:

I just finished reading it and I can't believe I let it sit on my table for so long. I started reading it last October and I wasn't able to finish it until today because of school works and Holiday Preparations. Well as for the book, all I can say is that, I was totally MIND BLOWN! I tried to predict everything that will happen but I didn't even succeed. Not even once. I was totally dumbfounded! It was an awesome read and I love all the characters! And speaking of Characters, my favourites are Lena, Ethan, Uncle Macon and of course, Boo. Who wouldn't like an awesome and adorable wolf? :)

The transition of the story is so amazing that I never had a dull moment reading every single bit of it! I like how the authors showed and described Jackson High as a typical High School from the real world where kids just as weird as Lena will not be able to fit in that easy.

As for the love story, it was delivered so fine that even my dog would giggle because of Ethan and Lena. I love the way how Ethan protects Lena from everything and that he is ready to do everything and anything for her. Now tell me, where can I meet an Ethan Lawson Wate? :)

The setting of the story was in Gatlin County in South Carolina, everything about the setting is described fine and everyone would be able to understand the history and how the county has do to with the whole storyline.

As for Genevieve and Ethan Carter Wate, their love is just so amazing (I've been using the word amazing a lot, I know!)! You can feel their love for each other from the chair that you're sitting on or from the bed that you're lying on and you'll stop and wish that someday you will be able to find your own Ethan. Their story made me stop reading for a while and think of how powerful love is. And that you would do anything and everything in your power just to have the one you love back into your arms even if you know it will cost you a lot.

And for Lila, ah! A love of a mother. She would do anything and everything for her son, Ethan. And if she's still alive, she would be so proud of what Ethan had become. A grown up man.

As for Serafine, Larkin and Hunter, they were just a bunch of selfish dark casters who loves nothing but themselves. Serafine's such a bitch for killing her husband and for putting Lena into so much danger and trouble. If I had a mother like that, I would definitely strangle her to death. Kidding. HAHA! And Larkin, oh sweet Larkin. A traitor! He's just like what he always transforms to. A snake. Hunter or Hunting (forgot, sorry) is Macon's brother who's also an Incubus like him but he's feeding on blood of humans. Unlike Macon who feeds only with human's dreams.

Ridley, oh sweet Ridley that used to be Lena's bestfriend and cousin. Lena would do anything for her but she turned Dark. But still, he can control herself and there's still good inside her. She stopped herself from killing Ethan's father, Mitchell.

And last but not the least, Uncle Macon & Amma. Those two kept a lot of secrets and they know a lot since the very beginning and they would do anything to protect Lena and Ethan. They both love Lena and Ethan and they would do anything in their power just to protect them. Even if it means one of them should risk a life for the children.

All in all, the story is so powerfully amazing and good! I would definitely recommend this to anyone! Give it a try! It's worth the money, time and read! I can't wait to read the 2nd book! :)

Now, I can watch the movie. lol.

My Rating: 5 sunflowers out of 5 sunflowers.

Would I recommend this? Yes.

Synopsis:

* The time has come for one winner to be crowned.

When she was chosen to compete in the Selection, America never dreamed she would find herself anywhere close to the crown—or to Prince Maxon's heart. But as the end of the competition approaches, and the threats outside the palace walls grow more vicious, America realizes just how much she stands to lose—and how hard she'll have to fight for the future she wants.

My Review:

The ending is pretty much what I've expected so I'm very happy with it. With the turn of events and everything, it was pretty good. I've been dying to buy this book right after I've finished reading the second one. It was worth the wait. I love how America grew up and how she managed to get over Aspen. And also, I felt Maxon's heartbreak when he accidentally saw America and aspen together. But because of his love for America, he's ready to give up his life for Aspen. See that? Maxon's my kind of guy. What kind of girl America would be if she hadn't chosen Maxon? Gosh! I can't literally imagine my life without Maxon Calix Schreave. Clever. HAHA! But yes, I enjoyed every page of it. Especially the war and how, one of the girls is one if the Southern rebels and how America's dad's one of it too. See that? You must've thinking that I'm brutal or something for liking that part but, you've gotta read it for you to be able to find out why I really liked it. Lol. How clever of me. But yeah! All in all, I super loved this book that I read it for one whole day with a cup of tea and without putting it down. Not even once.

Now, I'm Excited for "The Heir"!!! Ahhhh!!!

My review: When I first saw this book, held it and read the synopsis on the back, I was like;

"OMG! I'm getting this!"

This book is indescribably addicting. I absolutely loved The Selection. It made me want to flip the pages every now and then and just freaking know what will happen next. This book transferred me into the other dimension and it feels like I'm really on the setting of the story. I even thought I'm actually America Singer. lol. I had a hard time bringing myself back to reality and coping up when I finished reading the book. Like, OMG! Seriously, my heart was literally beating fast throughout the whole time I read this book, and I just couldn't LITERALLY put the book down! I can't stop reading! TEAM MAXON FTW!! I don't like Aspen far the fact that he's making things difficult for America but he's pretty sexy, tho. But Maxon? OMG! He's thebombdotcom. I would marry him in a heartbeat.I don't know why America's thinking twice but yeah. I love Maxon. And I want America to choose him over Aspen. And America? She's so gorgeous! I love the way she talks, I love the way she thinks. I love America! She's so awesome she's just too honest about herself. :)

Favourite line: “No, I’m not choosing him or you. I’m choosing me.” - America Singer
Favourite Part: When America wrote a letter for her family. I really giggled on that part. Like, SERIOUSLY. Specially the part where she wrote a letter for May.
Favourite Character: America Singer. She's stubborn and difficult. But I love her because she is always herself, she don't have to pretend just to get something the she wants. I love how she is selfless and how she loves her family. Specially May and her Dad. She has so much passi
on, and she's aiming high for her dreams but DEFINITELY NOT forgetting where she came from and how to be herself.

Why did you read this book?

* My friend recommended this book to me. At first I was very hesitant to try it because I thought the story is just a "MODERN" Disney princess story. But boy! I was wrong. I was walking on heaven (well, not actually heaven but the bookstore) to buy "Divergent" when I saw a light blue colored book. The cover is very catchy and it felt like it's pulling me towards the shelf where it stands. I grabbed it and read the back part of the book where a synopsis is written and I was like, "Omg. I need this book in my life." And I just grabbed and bought it instead of Divergent. lol.

Rating: 5 sunflowers. <3

(Reviews are based on my own experience while reading the book. It’s my thoughts. If I ever harmed or hurt someone, please believe me I didn’t intend to hurt anyone.)
